I am so excited to launch my line of custom notecard and Mommy Calling Cards. I added the Teacher Notecards just a few days ago, and already the orders are flowing in! These cards are really popular. So if you like the Teacher Notecards, you will just love the Mommy Calling Cards.

Announcing a new benefit to adding My Little Monkey Boutique as one of your favorite pages, and subscribing to our newsletter - I have added a new page of Recipes that are perfect for Mom and Child to do together. These easy recipe ideas range from desserts, appetizers and sandwiches to salads and soups. They are super easy to do, making it a fun time to spend with your child.
I am collecting the recipes and offering them free to you - just click on the Mom&Me Recipe link in the navigation bar. I will also be including one recipe idea in each newsletter from now on!

Title: Your Baby Can Read on Ellen Show!
The Your Baby Can Read DVD program will be featuring on Ellen Monday, Nov. 5! This is an amazing program geared toward helping small chidren learn to read. I use it with my own son and have noticed great progress in his vocabulary. Not to mention, he just really likes the videos!
In the DVD set, you get 5 DVDs and 5 double side flashcards, including an erasable pen and blank flashcard to fill in your own words.
These videos allow the children to see the language at the same time they hear the language in a fun, interactive way. The videos use animals, other young children, and songs that are interesting to young children. The main idea behind the videos is that we try to help the children develop an association between the written words, their sounds, and their meanings. Over time, the babies figure out enough of these associations so that they learn the sounds that the letters make.
The children are allowed to see the words at the same time that they hear the words. Since children learn language faster and easier during infancy than any other time, we take advantage of this window of opportunity to learn written language as well as spoken language. So, the infants are able to see and hear words instead of simply hearing the words. Additionally, we encourage the babies to participate by saying the words and by doing physical actions that help the children learn the meanings of the words. We encourage the babies and toddlers to clap, wave, point, touch body parts, and so on. This kind of interactive, multi-sensory learning has been shown to be superior to simply presenting the information in one sensory modality and it is more fun!
Ellen will feature an interview with one of the children who learned to read using the program as a baby. He is now 5 years-old and is reading at an amazing level!

Title: Swarovski Crystal Shirts
I have recently introduced Custom Swarovski Crystal T-Shirts to my list of products. I custom make these shirts myself and use extra care while creating the designs. I am a perfectionist so I tend to spend more time on these projects to get them looking just right!
I made this shirt for myself and just love wearing it. I get tons of compliments on it, especially from my MOPS friends. Every mom needs a personalized shirt like this to show off their precious child!
Because my shirts are custom made, I can put pretty much any wording on them. So if you have something in mind, just let me know. I'll see if I can do it for you.

I have updated my Articles page with a new article focusing on Planning a Stress Free Holiday Party or Event. The article discusses planning for events early, shopping online for birthday and Christmas presents, hosting parties at home and cleaning up afterward.

I am so excited to announce that I have a new product I am working on and will be offering to my customers soon! I have been working on designing family address labels with customizable character faces. I hope to post my portfolio of available designs soon.

I'm excited to say that I have increased my product range and am offering several new items! As you browse through the boutique you will notice a few new categories: Diaper Bags, Sleepwear, Custom Swarovski Clothes and Baby Toys.
Now available to my customers is a nice selection of custom made diaper bags. These diaper bags are very stylish yet practical.

Title: Growing Up
It's happening right before my eyes. In just three short years, my little baby has grown into a full fledged little boy. No one ever told me that the baby years were so short!
Yesterday Reagan started preschool. My husband, Joey, and I dropped him off at 8 a.m. along with all the other excited, but nervous, parents. He acted like he was an old pro at school. Walking right on into the classroom, he said hi to the teacher and started toward a toy that caught his eye. After giving us kisses and hugs, he sat down at the little table with the other kids. He was fine. But was I?
After getting some much needed work done at home, I went to the school to retrieve him around 3 p.m. I caught his class just as they were walking down the hall to the playground. The teacher was saying, "Boys and girls, stay in line." My baby was walking in a straight line! He turned and saw me. His eyes lit up and he ran to me. But the light quickly turned to tears when he realized I was taking him home, instead of playing with him on the playground. He had a melt down right there in the hallway. My baby loved school so much he didn't want to leave! A great feeling, right? I'm not so sure.
On top of starting school, Reagan is now getting potty training down. He can even go without my help. Although I do still offer it.
Reagan amazes me more and more each day with the new things he is learning and skills he is mastering. Before I know it I will be sending him off to college, most likely with tears in my eyes like my mother had when she left me at my dorm 14 years ago.
But I try to not worry about that too much. I just sit back and enjoy these newest firsts before he moves onto so many more.

Well I have finally opened my estore after months of thought on whether I should do it or not. I have been selling on Ebay for several years and just got tired of paying the fees that keep increasing by the moment.
With my store, I hope to be able to offer customers something a little out of the ordinary - A sweet keepsake for a special family member.
Since I am a writer by trade, and have been for the past 10 years, I thought I'd start this blog. Be sure to check in often. I will discuss topics of concern to moms, offer store specials, and advice, maybe even a funny story or two.
